Door closers simplify our lives. It keeps us safe and exudes an air of flair. No more annoying noise when someone bangs the doors and no more accidental injuries on any one because of uncontrolled door swings. I can just imagine children, ever wanting to be grown ups, insisting on opening the doors themselves. Then you would have to deal with injuries or the non-stop wailing of your child. That can surely ruin a nice day.
